What Is IT?

In the 1960s and 1970s, the term information technology (IT) was a little known phrase that was used by those who worked in places like banks and hospitals to describe the processes they used to store information. With the paradigm shift to computing technology and "paperless" workplaces, information technology has come to be a household phrase. It defines an industry that uses computers, networking, software programming, and other equipment and processes to store, process, retrieve, transmit, and protect information.

Network is a computer and difference between primary and secondary?

Ans:
I agree with that statement because
A computer network is a group of computers that are connected to each other for the purpose of communication. Networks may be classified according to a wide variety of characteristics.
If the hardware is not working then you have no network,if the software is not configured to operate the hardware the network will not work.So basically all network problems are caused by one or the other.I put network cables as part of the hardware.

What is Lan

 A local area network (LAN) supplies networking capability to a group of computers in close proximity to each other such as in an office building, a school, or a home. A LAN is useful for sharing resources like files, printers, games or other applications. A LAN in turn often connects to other LANs, and to the Internet or other WAN.

Definition of Software:-

A set of computer programs, procedures, and associated documentation concerned with the operation of a data processing system; e.g. , compilers, library routines, manuals, 

Defination of Hardware:-

Hardware refers to a physical piece of a computer. This could be a hard drive, monitor, memory chip, or CPU. The key idea is that the item is something you can touch. This compares to software which is not tangible in any way. You can't pick it up or weigh it. Yet, without software, hardware is useless.
